Title: The Fire Between High & Lo
Series: Romance Elements #2
Author: Brittainy C. Cherry
Genre: Romance
Release Date: March 25, 2016
Purchase: AMAZON US / UK
SYNOPSIS
There once was a boy, and I loved him.
Logan Francis Silverstone and I were complete opposites. I danced, and he stood still. He was quiet, while I ran my mouth. He struggled to find a smile, and I refused to frown.
The night I saw the darkness that truly lived inside of him, I couldn't look away.
We were broken together, yet somehow whole. We were wrong together, but always right. We were the stars that burned across the night sky, searching for a wish, praying for better tomorrows.
Until the day I lost him. He threw us away with one hasty decision--a decision that changed us forever.
There once was a boy, and I loved him.
And for a few breaths, a few whispers, a few moments, I think he loved me, too.

THIS BOOK! 5 stars on fire!!!!

Honestly, I wasn't surprised that this book deserves all the stars that exist in the world.
This book was the fire within my eyelids when I didn't want to cry more. Because I fucking cried, and it was the best thing.
The fire in my heart when I thought I'd  never experienced something like this before.

Logan and Alyssa, broke my heart completely. And oh boy, Brittainy just glued back together the pieces with her incredible storyline. I thought I didn't have a heart when I finished TAHB, but this one? My heart burned the moment I started reading this book, and in the process I think I experienced so much, so much.
Beautiful and sad things, moments of laughing and crying. Moments to fucking re think what I am doing with my life.

The broken bad boy Logan, just seemed so lost, and captivated for his demons and his past that the everyday was a new way to survive, not only what surrounded him. But also, what was within him.
And Alyssa, this sweet girl, broken in her own way too, consumed by the loneliness she felt because of her father, longing someone who could pay attention to her to also understand and make her feel less alone.
A dangerous mix, but the perfect one.
I cannot stress enough how important they were for each other. How the fire within Logan roared back to life because of Alyssa, how her own fire was breaking the ice around Logan's soul. How she was the light in his darkness. How he was a bright flame that needed a way to survive what was trying to turn him off, with his best friend by his side... with the power of a bright and consuming love... they were meant for each other, even when the pair seemed like a good one, even when the odds were against them.

I can't find words to express how this book touched me. Not every book does this. I can read, and feel okay and say: whoa, what a good book. But this one? The kind of story that turns your world upside down? The kind of story that just in the first chapters gives you goosebumps because you're fucking feeling it?
Forgive me for my bad words, but I just can't find something that is more than wonderful or extraordinary... This is more than fire. This is the one thing that consumes you, but makes you alive (a good thing, of course).

"She was the fire in my soul that kept me warm at night"

I think that can sum up what I felt for this book, the fire in my soul that kept me crying a river and feeling a lot of things. Be prepared, NAH.. don't be, read this book and let it burns you...

Walk the Edge - cover

One moment of recklessness will change their worlds

Smart. Responsible. That's seventeen-year-old Breanna's role in her large family, and heaven forbid she put a toe out of line. Until one night of shockingly un-Breanna-like behavior puts her into a vicious cyberbully's line of fire—and brings fellow senior Thomas "Razor" Turner into her life.

Razor lives for the Reign of Terror motorcycle club, and good girls like Breanna just don't belong. But when he learns she's being blackmailed over a compromising picture of the two of them—a picture that turns one unexpected and beautiful moment into ugliness—he knows it's time to step outside the rules.

And so they make a pact: he'll help her track down her blackmailer, and in return she'll help him seek answers to the mystery that's haunted him—one that not even his club brothers have been willing to discuss. But the more time they spend together, the more their feelings grow. And suddenly they're both walking the edge of discovering who they really are, what they want, and where they're going from here.

4.5 stars

Walk The Edge was a refreshing story that turned out to be more than I was expecting,
because it deals with some topics that sometimes aren't easy to write, cyber-bullying and blackmailing.

Breanna is a young girl, the smartest kid and the "quiet" one, between being forgotten by her parents and taking care of her siblings she really doesn't have time be herself, only with her best friend.
Razor is the pretty bad boy of the school, between the motorcycle club and trying to find news about his mother's death he has a lot in his hands.

These two one day have an encounter that changes their lives drastically! While Razor was trying to help Breanna, someone with a sick mind used this to blackmail Breanna, both Razor and Breanna decide to work together to find who's behind the cyber bullying and the blackmailing.

***

Breanna's relationship with Razor is something I adored. I only have read two books of Katie (Pushing The Limits and Nowhere But Here -shame on me-) and to be honest this is my favorite. When an author writes a YA book they're walking between the thin line of explicit and decorum, and Katie did an amazing job balancing both.
The way she build the relationship between these two was like watching a choir with a slow tempo waiting anxiously for the fortissimo!

I liked how they got stronger individually and how they found the solution and discover who was behind the bullying and the blackmailing. The hero didn't help the heroine and everything was  good... or vice versa. Both in their own strength found what they need it to face the problems.

And also the background story -the relationship between Breanna and her parents, Razor's and the relationship with her dad and the motorcycle club- was a perfect complement to the story. They grew and to see how Razor softened a bit with Breanna was the sweetest thing ever. Also that Breanna was her true self with Razor because she felt comfortable enough with him, and then with everyone that surrounded her... that is what a brave girl does.

~ RT Book Reviews "Katie McGarry is a master of her craft!  Raw emotion, pure grit, I hang on every word. Her characters are real people with real problems and I cheer them every step of the way. Ready for a new addiction? Look no further than Katie McGarry's books."
~ Gena Showalter, Bestselling author of Firstlife "I finished WALK THE EDGE by the amazing Katie McGarry. It was SO good that now I feel bereft. I already miss Razor & Bre - I need to know more! She is by far my #1 favorite author. She paints a picture with the words, puts you IN the story... LOVE."

COVER REVEAL: MODELS ON TOP BY S.L SCOTT

S.L SCOTT REVEALS THE COVER OF THE FIRST BOOK IN HER BRAND NEW SERIES

SYNOPSISMODELS ON TOP:
The world of modeling is glamorous, sexy, and the models themselves live like rock stars. The world is
their playground and their faces are their trademarks.

They may be considered beautiful or handsome, but not everything is handed to them on a silver
platter. The days are long, the physical requirements can be grueling, and love doesn’t come easy when
you’re jet setting around the globe.

For three Models on Top, finding success in this competitive profession is almost as hard as their abs,
but they did it. Although their million dollar smiles make billions of women swoon, each has a journey
they must travel to find the one piece that’s missing from their lives—Love.

DANNY, MODELS ON TOP, BOOK 1
Everything you’ve heard about modeling is true, and you haven’t heard the half of it.

It’s glamorous.
 It’s sexy.
And yes, the line between work and reality often blurs.
We’re not just prototypes of perfection. Models have feelings and desires, too. We may be
genetically gifted, but we’re still human.

I’m only human. Yes, an extraordinary specimen that earns more in a day than most make in a
year, but this eight pack didn’t create itself. I spend hours working on this body. The good looks
just come natural. *Winks* Thanks, Mom and Dad.

I’m Danny Weston, Supermodel.

But one path was traded for another when I chose this career. Ten years later, I would trade my
career to have it back. To have her back.

Reese Carmichael is the one woman I would give it all up for, and the only one I can’t have. Yet.

New York Times and USA Bestselling Author, S. L. Scott, was always interested in the arts. She grew up painting, writing poetry and short stories, and wiling her days away lost in a good book and the movies.

With a degree in Journalism, she continued her love of the written word by reading American authors
like Salinger and Fitzgerald. She was intrigued by their flawed characters living in picture perfect worlds, but could still debate that the worlds those characters lived in were actually the flawed ones. This dynamic of leaving the reader invested in the words, inspired Scott to start writing journeys with
emotion while injecting an underlying passion into her own stories.

Living in the capital of Texas with her family, Scott loves traveling and avocados, beaches, and cooking with her kids. She's obsessed with epic romances and loves a good plot twist. She dreams of seeing one of her own books made into a movie one day as well as returning to Europe. Her favorite color is blue, but she likens it more toward the sky than the emotion. Her home is filled with the welcoming symbol of the pineapple and finds surfing a challenge though she likes to think she's a pro.
