Four years ago I lost my virginity on live, streaming television.
Too bad I wasn’t awake for it.
The video went viral. Of course it would. A Senator’s daughter on camera? Wouldn’t you click “share”? Besides, that’s what three of the four guys in the video did.
Share.
They shared me.
But that fourth guy? The nondescript one in the background in the upper left corner of the screen, just sitting on the couch? The only one who did nothing?
Not one single thing.
That was my boyfriend, Drew.
And that was the last time I saw him.
Until today, when my father—now on a path to the White House—hired him as head of security for my new team as I return home after four years of “recovering” in an undisclosed location that involved white lab coats, needles, pills and damage control.
You see, the other three guys never went to jail. Never had charges pressed.
Never faced consequences.
Until today.
Game on.
Suspense. Drama. And romance.
I need to be completely honest, I was super intrigued by this book the moment I read the synopsis and what I read was something that is making me want desperately the second book. What a painful cliffhanger we have here.
What happened to Lindsay was very bizarre, not only people abused her, they also raped her and the only one watching it was her boyfriend Drew.
Being the daughter of an important politician the scandal reverberate in her life in the opposite way, she's blamed and she's sent to a facility to "get over" the incident.
At the beginning after the four years of the incident, when her father asks for her (now that he's running for president) is a bit strange. I've read about cold people, but your own blood being cold that's another level. It's disappointing and it hurt me like I'm sure hurt Lindsay. Surprise, surprise the head of the guard she has is her ex-boyfriend Drew. So after what happened, he's back in the picture and yeah since the hate Lindsay reflected towards him was obvious, I kinda hated him too.
But oh boy, was I wrong. Drew is in the picture and she still feels something for him. He is an important key to what happened to her, but not in the way we would assume. And at the end it's a major part of what really happened that night and how he got involved, it's also one of the things why Lindsay wants revenge.
I really am intrigued to know what would happen next, what I read was unexpected and now I want to seek revenge for those two.
